  学科组介绍:鱼类基因工程学科组的研究工作发端于上世纪70年代末的鱼类细胞核移植研究。朱作言先生在著名实验胚胎学家童第周先生的领导下,通过合作研究完成鲤鲫间的细胞核移植,首次实现脊椎动物的种间克隆。上世纪80年代,朱作言先生在世界上首次成功进行农艺性状转基因研究,研制出世界首批转基因鱼,提出了转基因鱼形成的模型理论,开创鱼类基因转移研究新领域。以上成果作为近代中国科技领域的两大重要科学技术成就被载入《世界科学年史》(A. Hellemans & B. Bunch, 美国Simon & Schuster出版社) 

  10年来,本学科组合作培育出具有完全自主知识产权、生长速度快、饵料转化率高的冠鲤和吉鲤;按照国家I类新药的毒理学实验规范和实质等同性原则,合作进行了冠(吉)鲤的营养学、毒理学和致敏性研究,系统评价并证实冠(吉)鲤与对照鲤具有同样的食用安全性;创建了“人工模拟湖泊”的生态安全实验体系,客观评价了冠鲤投放到该人工湖泊后对生态环境的可能影响,发现在鲤鱼自然分布的水域,冠鲤的生态风险不会高于对照鲤;冠(吉)鲤的产业化准入提供了充分的科学和材料储备。 

  此外,本学科组发现了鱼类生长轴的信号分子在生殖发育中的作用、生殖轴/生长轴间新的调控通路及其作用机制;揭示了鱼类生殖轴中重要信号分子调控性腺发育的机理;发现影响鱼类配子减数分裂的信号分子在精子发育和成熟中的功能。首次报道了低溶氧耐受鱼的成功研制。提出了鱼类生殖操作育种新思路,创建了鱼类育性可控的生殖开关新策略。 

  目前,本学科组致力于经济鱼类的分子杂交(转基因)和分子突变(基因编辑)育种,以斑马鱼、青鳉等为模式系统的发育生物学研究。具体研究方向包括:鱼类重要经济性状相关基因或分子模块的发掘与功能验证;鱼类生殖发育、性别决定与分化机制解析;鱼类生殖轴与生长轴之间的调控关系探索;鱼类生殖开关策略的技术创新。 

  以上研究得到了国家自然科学基金、中国科学院战略性先导科技专项和湖北省自然科学基金创新群体基金以及科技部863计划和973计划等项目的资助。
